Is quinoa better for you than rice?
Artisan Grains Tricolour Quinoa is pre-washed and requires no rinsing before use and is a versatile alternative to rice, pasta or couscous. It has better nutritional benefits than white rice, as it is higher in protein and dietary fibre.
What exactly is quinoa?
Botanically speaking, quinoa is actually not a grain but rather a “pseudograinâ€, which is similar to a cereal grain.
• Boil 600ml water in a medium saucepan.
• Add ½ pack (100g) Quinoa and simmer for 10-12 mins uncovered until a white germ appears.
• Drain excess water and use hot, or allow to cool.
