CBD Patches

What is a CBD Patch?

A CBD Patch is a discreet and, often, waterproof transdermal application that is similar to a band-aid but provides optimum CBD levels over a number of hours. These patches are available in different brands & styles, and are easy to use too; simply attach one to your skin to receive your daily dose of CBD.

What is CBD?

CBD is a phytocannabinoid and one of 113 identified cannabinoids in the Cannabis Sativa plant. This naturally occurring compound is fast becoming an increasingly popular ingredient in alternative medicines & therapeutic oils.

How do CBD patches work?

To understand how a CBD patch works, you should think about when you add hot water to a cold bath. At first, the area of the bath nearest the taps will feel much hotter, however eventually, the temperature will level out. This is because the heat naturally wants to spread out to the surrounding area, and this is in theory how a CBD patch works too.

Are CBD patches legal in England?

Yes. It’s important to note that a CBD patch will not get you high, because in order for it to be sold, the THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol - the component that gets you high) must be significantly minimised. What’s more, to be legal in England and the rest of the UK, all CBD products must contain almost no traces of THC anyway.

Where should I apply my CBD patch?

For best results, CBD patches should be applied  in an area of Skin with a high concentration of veins. This allows for the active CBD ingredient to be rapidly absorbed into your bloodstream.

Can I use a CBD oil patch for anxiety?

Like other CBD products, a CBD patch encourages everyday wellbeing and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. However, with that said, it is thought that many have individuals have already tried using CBD patches for the symptoms of chronic Stress and Anxiety.

Can I take Ibuprofen with a CBD patch?

There have been no reported interactions between CBD and ibuprofen, however, there could be an individual reaction, so it is recommended to speak with your GP before using a CBD patch alongside ibuprofen. It's also worth noting that as CBD is thought to have an anti-inflammatory action, ibuprofen may not be not be required at all.

Why should I choose to use the CBD patch method?

Compared to a CBD patch, other CBD products could be seen to have a slight awkward delivery method. For example, when you ingest a CBD product in public, such as an edible or a tablet, the CBD must pass through your liver and stomach, which break down anything that goes into them. This essentially dilutes the CBD content. A transdermal CBD patch is discreet and allows for the CBD to be directly absorbed into your bloodstream slowly, over a number of hours.
