BioCare Butyric Acid Complex is a food supplement containing butyric acid, a short chain saturated fatty acid produced as the result of the bacterial breakdown in dietary fibre.
Also known as butyrate, butyric acid helps maintain a healthy intestinal lining by metabolizing fiber in the colon to produce the energy necessary to support colon health and function. Butyric Acid Complex capsules may therefore help to relieve symptoms in those individuals with inflammatory bowel disease.

BioCare Butyric Acid Complex is a high potency butyrate formula buffered with calcium and magnesium. Calcium contributes to the normal function of digestive enzymes, and when combined with magnesium, helps to reduce the rate of dispersion of butyric acid too.
One capsule taken three times a day with food, or as professionally directed. NB: This product has a strong sour smell which is completely normal.
