Outside the Box: Is Soup Good for soccer players?

Off the back of an impressive away win in the league cup over Ashford Town, which saw the women of Worthing Football Club reach the quarter-finals of the cup, the victorious ladies returned home to a warming selection of soups from Free & Easy, as week 11 of Outside the Box provided each player with a Free & Easy Organic Sweet Potato & Chia Seed Soup 400g and Free & Easy Organic Low Salt Sweet Potato & Quinoa Soup 400g to take home and try.

Outside the Box - Are Protein shakes good for Footballers?

Having closed a busy period of matches in January with an impressive 3-1 home win against Dulwich Hamlet Ladies yesterday, it was time for the women of Worthing FC to knuckle down and begin to prepare for a February fixture list that could really shape their season. With away trips to the likes of Fulham Women, who sit just above them in 3rd place in the league, and Millwall Lionesses, who lie just behind them in 6th, the top of the table is certainly cosey to say the very least!

Outside the Box - Why do Footballers need Fatty Acids?

After the heartbreak of a semi-final loss in the cup to Crawley to the jubilant scenes of a thrilling 5-0 win in the league just a few days later against Whyteleafe, it was certainly an eventful week of mixed emotions for the women of Worthing Football Club.

Outside the Box - Does Magnesium help with sports recovery?

After an extended winter break, due to a postponed semi-final cup match, the women of Worthing Football Club used the festive period as a time to train hard but also to rest, recover and make two new signings to bolster their squad for a busy period of January fixtures.

Outside the Box - Do Multivitamins improve Performance

In their last home game of 2021 the ladies of Worthing Women Football Club took on 2nd place Dartford FC Women in a very competitive game last Sunday. Despite two excellently taken goals by Ella Newman, which put Worthing on the front foot at the interval, the ladies eventually succumbed to 2-4 defeat at the final whistle. Nevertheless it's been a more than impressive start for Worthing FC Women and with just two league games left before the winter break, it's now more important than ever that these women's soccer players continue to take care of themselves during these cold & dark December days. With this in mind Outside the Box took a slightly different approach in week 7 and looked beyond healthy foods & drinks choosing to instead focus on the importance of female supplements.
