What is the difference between Bob's Red Mill Oats, Scottish Oats & Bob's Red Mill Steel Cut Oats?

Bob's Red Mill offer cut oats and rolled oats. The rolled oats are made by stabilising the whole oat groats, followed by steaming and rolling the oats to the desired thickness. This method is used for quick, regular and thick rolled oats. The cut oats Bob offers are steel cut and Scottish oatmeal, which are made from the stabilised oat groat that is then cut. Bobs Red Mill Steel Cut Oats 680g are cut into large pieces which produces a chewier texture oatmeal. The Scottish oatmeal is actually stone ground on mills to produce a nice, creamy porridge.
