Why does Free & Easy Afternoon Tea Scone Mix contain buckwheat flour?
Believe it or not but buckwheat flour is wildly used to make scones, pancakes, crepes and Bread. Buckwheat is gluten free and has a more rustic, earthy flavour to it. When added to baked mixes or other dishes it gives a slightly brownish tinge.
Simply mix the ingredients, roll and cut and cook and enjoy a wonderful 'free from' afternoon scone.
