Sourced from apiaries throughout Scotland, this jar of honey is expertly produced by bees that forage on the legendary Scottish Heather flower. The bees begin by collecting nectar from the blossoms, which they store in their 'honey stomach' before returning to the hive. Once there, worker bees chew the nectar for roughly 30 minutes, passing it from bee to bee until it transforms into honey. The bees then store the honey in honeycomb cells, fanning it with their wings to dry it out and increase its stickiness. Finally, the bees seal each cell with a wax lid to preserve the purity of the Heather Honey.
