Enterosgel is a reliable and efficient solution for adults and children experiencing Irritable Bowel Syndrome with diarrhoea (IBS-D) and acute diarrhoea. Studies have demonstrated that using Enterosgel can significantly enhance the lives of individuals grappling with IBS-D.
Enterosgel offers an integrated approach to treating symptoms like:
- Diarrhoea
- Urgency
- Bloating
- Abdominal pain
Unlike other treatments for IBS-D and acute diarrhoea, Enterosgel adopts a unique method of addressing gastrointestinal symptoms. It operates by latching onto harmful substances such as bacterial toxins and inflammatory molecules, effectively removing them from the body through the stool.
What is the evidence to support Enterosgel?
Enterosgel, a product first developed in the 1980s, has been widely available as an over-the-counter remedy in Europe since 1996, and has been utilized by millions of individuals around the world since then.
There's a significant body of scientific evidence supporting the effectiveness of Enterosgel. Various lab-based studies have demonstrated how it functions by binding to and eliminating detrimental substances from the gut that can induce diarrhoea and other symptoms. This is applicable to both instances of short-term (acute) diarrhoea and people living with Irritable Bowel Syndrome with diarrhoea (IBS-D).
Numerous clinical trials involving both adults and children have attested to the safety and efficacy of Enterosgel. Two such studies were conducted in the UK. The first was a randomized controlled trial that explored the use of Enterosgel for treating acute diarrhoea in adults recruited from GP practices. The study found that Enterosgel significantly reduced the duration of diarrhoea in patients who had a gastrointestinal infection or other causes of short-term diarrhoea.
The second study, involving 440 participants, examined the efficacy and safety of Enterosgel in treating patients with IBS-D. The findings, which are currently being published, revealed that Enterosgel is a safe and effective solution for managing primary IBS-D symptoms such as diarrhoea, abdominal pain, bloating, and urgency. After all participants were given the chance to use Enterosgel during the open-label phase of the trial, a significant 76% reported that it provided them with adequate relief from their IBS symptoms.
Enterosgel can be diluted in water or other liquid of the room temperature. It can also be taken off the spoon or a sachet and washed down with the sufficient amount of water. Enterosgel is easy to take. It has no taste or colour and there is no over-dosage. Please refer to the dosage on the pack.
